Свій внесок у «срібний» успіх української жіночої збірної зробила і студентка І курсу Марія Лівач, яка у ваговій категорії до 48 кг посіла 5 місце. У ½ фіналу Марія поступилася майбутній чемпіонці Фуюко Мімурі. На 5 місці і цьогорічна випускниця відділення вільної боротьби УФК Оксана Ващук. Оксана також у півфінальній2 сутичці поступилася чемпіонці росіянці Наталії Воробйовій. На 5 місці і минулорічна випускниця Ірина Нетреба (в/к до 63 кг). у півфіналі Ірина поступилася шведці Ханні Йохансон, яка також стала чемпіонкою.

Студентки ІІ курсу Мар’яна Безрука і Анжела Клещева відповідно на 8 і 16 місцях у ваговій категорії до 51 і 44 кг. Таким чином, з 8 учасниць збірної України семеро представників відділення вільної боротьби Львівського училища фізичної культури.
